Man shot by Nellis Air Force Base security faces assault, weapons charges

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 23-year-old man accused of pointing a gun at Nellis Air Force Base security has been charged with assault and weapons violations.

Pierce McFarland, 23, faces four felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon and three counts of discharging a gun within a prohibited area after police said he pointed a gun at Nellis Air Force Base security, prompting them to shoot him in the leg.
