LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A mother has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against a transit agency and the alleged driver for the day her 7-year-old daughter was hit and killed by a bus.
According to the lawsuit, mother Wideline Derifond claims her daughter, Larissa Lucas, was killed Sept. 21, 2023, while crossing Charleston Boulevard near Lamont Street outside a marked crosswalk. She also said she suffered injuries that caused permanent disabilities.
The suit says the bus driver failed to use due care and did not pay attention, causing the crash. The suit says the driver was employed by Transdev and RTC, and they failed to properly train the driver…
