Pop-up produce stands aiming to make healthy food accessible return to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Pop-up produce stands are returning to the Las Vegas valley, the Southern Nevada Health District announced Monday.

According to a release from the SNHD, the pop-up stands will return to the Bonneville Transit Center (BTC) starting Tuesday, Oct. 7, and will offer affordable, regionally grown fruits and vegetables.

The stands will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last, at the BTC, located at 101 E. Bonneville Avenue, on the following days:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 7
  • Tuesday, Oct. 14
  • Tuesday, Nov. 4
  • Tuesday, Nov. 18 (third Tuesday due to Veterans Day)
  • Tuesday, Dec. 2
  • Tuesday, Dec. 9

Shoppers will be able to use SNAP/EBT, cash, debit, or credit cards, the release stated…
