LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas man is accused of stealing money while pretending to work as an investigator. Metro police arrested Louis Colagiovanni on Thursday for a felony theft charge.
Colagiovanni accepted $69,320 between July 2024 and November 2024 in exchange for private investigator work, although he is not a licensed investigator, according to an arrest report.

The alleged victim hired Colagiovanni to get to the bottom of a business deal gone bad. The alleged victim expected Colagiovanni to conduct surveillance and find out what happened to $185,000 he had wired for an investment, the arrest warrant said.
