LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Surveillance video obtained by News 3 shows the moment a 12-year-old boy crosses the street and is hit by a car on October 3.
The Clark County School District provided the video following a public records request. The 30 second clip is from a surveillance camera on the backside of Rancho High School that faces Owens Ave.
The footage shows the Owens Avenue and 21st Street intersection where Cristofer Suarez,12, crossed the street in active school zone around 7:40 a.m. on October 3 and was hit by a car that appeared to be speeding. Suarez later died from his injuries. The video stops before the moment of impact…
