LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Thunderstorms rolled across the Las Vegas valley Wednesday morning as a large area of low pressure moved into southern Nevada.
Approximately 2,000 customers experienced outages, which began around 7:40 a.m. There is no information available on whether those incidents were related to the weather.
The lightning and rain hit various areas around the valley, especially along the I-15 corridor. The thunderstorm cells moved into the valley from the south—thunderstorms were also reported in Pahrump and Kingman, Arizona. The storm is expected to last until late morning.
