Man arrested in deadly Las Vegas park stabbing told police ‘It’s a cold city,’ officers say

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man facing a murder charge denied to police that he stabbed another man, killing him, according to an arrest report.

Kimothy Wright was found lying on the ground and unconscious in Doolittle Park at J Street and West Lake Mead Boulevard on Oct. 13. Las Vegas Metropolitan police found some blood near the scene and were notified by medical personnel that Wright had a stab wound in his abdomen. Wright died several hours later at University Medical Center.

Documents stated that video surveillance and witnesses showed Wright and another man, later identified as Darnell Davis, 45, entered the park around 11 a.m. at the exact location. Wright was walking behind Davis, police said.

One witness told police Wright was walking fine but then “began to stumble and fell to the ground,” the report stated…
