LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — As the possibility of a month-long federal government shutdown looms, state officials warn that thousands of Nevadans could soon face delays in food assistance.
The Nevada Department of Social Services says if the shutdown continues past October 31, November SNAP benefits may be delayed, leaving families who rely on that support uncertain about how they’ll afford groceries.
