Family advocates for Halloween safety 12 years after daughter’s accident

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Twelve years after a hit-and-run incident left her daughter seriously injured, the mother of Brazyl Ward is urging caution this Halloween.

Ward was just six years old when she was struck by a vehicle while trick-or-treating near Tenaya and Peace Way in 2013. Now 18, Ward continues to recover from the injuries that left her in a coma with only a 10% chance of survival.

“Even though it was 12 years ago, it still feels like it was yesterday. I am still reminded every day what happened to my baby girl, but she is here, she is thriving, and she is doing amazing,” says Tiffany Ward, Brazyl’s mother…
