LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Courtyard Homeless Resource Center has received thousands of dollars in donations from contributors, aiming to provide essential resources to the homeless population in the community.
Since its inception, the center has served nearly 12,000 individuals around the clock. With support from Mayor Shelley Berkley, the Mayor’s Fund, and the Downtown Vegas Alliance, the Courtyard will continue to offer services such as medical access, housing, employment assistance, mental health resources, and pet services.
Councilwoman Shondra Summers-Armstrong of Ward 5 emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing homelessness. “We have a real problem with homelessness. We know that this has to be a collective effort for us to make a dent in what we see every day. When organizations come together and break down silos and we do this work, we are effective,” she said…
