Shutdown impacting services to southern Nevadan veterans

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The federal government shutdown is impacting the services veterans in southern Nevada receive.

According to a spokesperson with the Department of Veterans Affairs, in-person appointments regarding VA benefits are no longer happening at the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center, located on 6900 North Pecos Road. The shutdown, which is now the longest in US history, has caused disruptions to the Veterans Benefits Administration.
