Las Vegas judge rules shooting spree suspect incompetent for trial

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The man accused of going on a shooting spree across the Las Vegas valley — which includes allegations of shooting a teenager, a police building, and several hotels — is not competent to stand trial, a judge ruled Friday.

Hector Rodriguez, 36, faces several charges, including 28 counts of discharging a gun into a structure and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, records said.

North Las Vegas police arrested Rodriguez on Sept. 26 after police said he shot toward them and then led them on a high-speed chase, according to documents the 8 News Now Investigators obtained…
