Man sentenced for fatal DUI crash that killed Las Vegas high school senior

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The man who hit and killed an 18-year-old Las Vegas high school senior earlier this year could spend up to two decades behind bars.

On Monday, Clark County District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus sentenced 37-year-old Keenan Jackson to 8-20 years in prison, with 190 days’ credit for time served.

Jackson was driving under the influence when he hit McKenzie Scott on May 2 near Buffalo Drive, just steps away from Arbor View High School. Scott was set to graduate within days of the crash.
