Clark County reports nearly 280 heat-related deaths in 2025 so far

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — In Clark County, nearly 280 people have died from heat-related deaths in 2025 so far, according to data released by the Clark County Coroner’s office.

As of Nov. 6, the total number of deaths where heat was a factor in Clark County was 279, so far this year, according to the county.

The report is not final, as 90% of cases take up to 90 days to investigate the cause and manner of death. The county also noted that certain drug classifications make people more susceptible to succumbing to the heat, including the use of certain drugs, including fentanyl…
