New video shows moment Las Vegas police officer dragged by car after responding to shoplifting call

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — New video obtained by our 8 News Now Investigators shows the moments before and after a police officer was dragged by a car after responding to a shoplifting call in the southwest valley.

The incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Aug. 1 in the 4100 block of Blue Diamond Road near Valley View Boulevard.

“You two, get over here right now,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer Chadly Dingle was heard saying on his body-worn camera, as police responded to reports of shoplifting at the southwest valley Target store.

A woman, her daughter, and two other teenage girls were caught on camera putting clothes into their bags while inside the store, then leaving without paying, according to LVMPD documents…
