LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — While rain was not as widespread as early this week, the Las Vegas valley saw some wrap-around showers and thunderstorms, setting a new daily rain record on Wednesday.
The Las Vegas valley saw .37” of rain Wednesday, officially setting a daily rain record, beating the previous record of .20” in 1967, 8 News Now Chief Meteorologist reported. This put this November as the fifth wettest on record with a total of 1.58” for the month and 4.53 for the entire year.
Some of those storms brought afternoon hail along with some heavier showers in some parts of the valley. Rain in most neighborhoods that actually got drops was around .04″, with some isolated areas like Silverado Ranch with .31″ and Paradise with .16″…
