Clark County extends gas tax needed to prevent budget shortfalls, pay for roadways

In an effort to stave off projected budget shortfalls that local transportation officials warned would have decimated funding needed to maintain and grow Southern Nevada roadways and transit projects, Clark County Commissioners voted 6-1 Tuesday to extend inflation-adjusted gas taxes.
