Pedestrian hit, killed in east Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A pedestrian was hit and killed in the east Las Vegas valley Sunday evening, according to Metro police.

Around 5:50 p.m., Metro police responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Nellis Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.

Police said the pedestrian was outside of a crosswalk. At this time, there is no information on whether impairment was a factor. The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead, according to police.
