LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A driver who struck and killed a woman in North Las Vegas initially left the scene, but then returned, police said.
The crash was reported shortly at 6 p.m. Wednesday near Griswold Street. According to North Las Vegas police, the woman was attempting to cross Las Vegas Boulevard west of Pecos Road when an SUV struck her. She was not in a marked crosswalk.
The driver fled after the crash but returned to the scene and was taken into custody. Police said he did not appear to be impaired, but he is facing charges of reckless driving resulting in death, failure to yield to a pedestrian, and leaving the scene of a crash involving a death…
