Convicted Felon Khalifa Sikes Captured in Las Vegas After Six Years as a Fugitive

After six years on the run, Khalifa Sikes, a 31-year-old felon known for convictions relating to pandering a juvenile and weapons charges, was arrested in Las Vegas for probation violations. News3LV reported that Sikes, who had managed to elude law enforcement since 2019, was taken into custody on November 25 by the combined efforts of the Nevada State Police, Division of Parole and Probation, and the U.S. Marshals Service. He was originally put on probation following convictions that included pandering a juvenile and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, along with being caught in possession of marijuana and firearms during a 2018 traffic stop.

His evasion came to an end after a joint investigation that started in August, led by state and federal agencies, including the FBI and ATF. At the time of his arrest, authorities once again found Sikes with various illegal items: marijuana, a handgun, a rifle, loaded magazines, and additional ammunition, all located within his vehicle. According to U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield, quoted by 8 News Now, “This arrest reflects our unwavering commitment to protect the public from dangerous offenders.” Schofield went on to say that, “Sikes posed a clear threat to the safety of our community. His apprehension was a direct result of coordinated, persistent teamwork between state, local and federal law enforcement partners.”…
