RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam and University of Nevada, Reno, mascot Wolfie Jr. have thrown down a challenge to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sheriff Kevin McMahill ahead of the Saturday, Nov. 29, Mackay Stadium matchup between the Wolf Pack and “that other team from down south … the one with the letters UNL-something.”
In the spirit of friendly rivalry, Balaam made the stakes simple, according to a Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
