Reckless teen driver arrested after reaching speeds up to 140 mph on Las Vegas freeway: police

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas Metro police arrested an 18-year-old reckless driver who was speeding up to 140 mph on a freeway Monday, with three other teenagers in the car, according to police.

On Monday, around 12:30 a.m., LVMPD’s AIR5 spotted a reckless driver on U.S. 95 at Charleston Boulevard, driving at speeds between 120 and 140 mph, weaving dangerously close to cars and passing on the shoulder of the freeway, police said.

While AIR5 attempted to keep up the “dangerous speeds,” the light-colored sedan was seen sparking at some points, according to police.
