LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Tuesday night, hundreds of people rallied outside a Las Vegas Valley hospital demanding options for affordable health care.
The Health Services Coalition picketed outside of Valley Hospital in a rally against the hospital’s operator, Valley Health System. The coalition represents the health plans of 27 worker groups, including the Culinary Union.
They are in contract negotiations with Valley Health System for health care plans. The coalition says prices are increasing beyond what members can afford. Union members say the health system needs to meet closer to the workers’ demands…
