‘Diddy him and do freaky things’: Leaked report shows bad student behavior at Las Vegas charter school

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A state agency voted on Friday to not renew the license for an embattled charter school for financial problems. But documents leaked to 8 News Now, painted a picture of bad behavior among students with some of them smoking marijuana and assaulting teachers as well as their peers.

8 News Now’s story on Wednesday about Nevada Prep Charter School previewed the State Public Charter School Authority’s meeting. According to documents from SPCSA, Nevada Prep is “experiencing a significant and sustained decline in academic performance over the past two years.” Nevada Prep’s elementary and middle schools went from a three-star rating to one star.

According to the leaked behavior reports, a fifth-grader was documented as hitting students, vaping, and cursing teachers. He also shoved a kid into a wall, pulled down their pants, and said he was going to “Diddy him and do freaky things.” The child’s screen saver was a picture of the Ku Klux Klan.
