LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Wreaths Across America returned to Nevada, bringing communities together to honor the service and sacrifice of the nation’s military heroes.
The annual ceremony began at 9 a.m. on Saturday at both the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City and the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Over the years, Wreaths Across America has become a cherished tradition for many Nevada families, drawing volunteers from service organizations, church groups, and local civic organizations. Participants will place wreaths on individual gravesites and speak each veteran’s name aloud.
The event was organized by the Nevada Wing, Civil Air Patrol, in Southern Nevada and the Nevada Veterans Coalition in Northern Nevada. The ceremonies are part of a nationwide effort, with more than 4,000 participating locations across all 50 states, as well as observances held at sea and abroad…
