Las Vegas rescue searches for person who vandalized cameras used to trap stray animals

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A Las Vegas animal rescue hopes someone will recognize the person caught on camera destroying its cameras used to trap stray or abandoned dogs.

The vandalism, targeting Paws Patrol LV, happened at Clark County Wetlands Park on the east side, as volunteers were trying to capture a stray Labrador Retriever.

“It’s like a punch in the gut,” Paws Patrol LV volunteer Carlos Herrera said.

The incident is referred to as a one-two punch for animal rescue, according to Herrera.

“To see somebody in the middle of the night, when no one is around,” he said. “To just destroy the cameras.”
