The autopsy report for 34-year-old Daniel Ortega, who carried out a shooting at the Las Vegas Athletic Club, found no signs of drugs or alcohol at the time of the attack. Ortega, who had a history of drug abuse, fatally shot 31-year-old Edgar Quinonez and injured several others, according to News 3 Las Vegas.
Daniel Ortega entered the Las Vegas Athletic Club armed with a long rifle and fired 24 rounds, according to FOX5 Vegas. His weapon eventually malfunctioned, which investigators say may have prevented additional casualties. More than 30 people called 911 during the incident.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified Edgar Quinonez, a gym employee, as the victim of the shooting. Daniel Ortega was shot by police in the gym’s parking lot and later died at UMC. Authorities have not yet determined a motive for Ortega’s actions…
