LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro search and rescue’s AIR1 helicopter unit lifted two hikers out of danger after they got stuck on Tuesday on a cliffside at Lone Mountain.
The two hikers were “ledged out” on the southwest end of the mountain, which is just inside the 215 beltway in the northwest Las Vegas valley, according to information posted on social media.
One of the hikers was stuck on a small ledge under a large overhang. The other tried to get to them, but slipped and fell a short distance before getting stuck on a ledge.
