LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Holiday dinners are costing families more this year, especially when it comes to beef, as local meat shops grapple with rising wholesale prices.
At John Mulls Meats & Road Kill Grill, staff are busy filling holiday orders, but the price of beef has increased significantly. Prime rib, the most popular item this time of year, now costs customers $25 per pound.
“If you want a prime rib for Christmas, you are going to pay for prime rib,” said Chuck Frommer, owner of John Mulls Meats.
