Signs of Dementia with Intermountain Health

The holidays bring together families. Sometimes, we have not seen our aging family members in a while and could start to notice some noticeable signs of advanced aging. Perhaps even worries about their mental decline and dementia/Alzheimer’s worries.

Dr. Elron Mighty, a gerontologist certified provider with Intermountain Health, wants to let everyone know what to keep an eye on with your family and friends.

“Usually at holiday times, families from out of town comes to visit, and s they haven’t seen their loved ones in months or years. So, that is usually when you are able to see differences in cognitive impairment,” said Dr. Mighty. “Things to look out for is declining memory. They may seem confused. They may repeat things over and over.”…
