Tickets are on sale for the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino’s re-creation of Elvis Presley’s iconic “Aloha from Hawaii” broadcast, which will be performed in the property’s International Theater on Jan. 14.
The broadcast was viewed by an estimated 1.5 billion people in 36 countries when it aired in 1973. Tribute artist Travis Powell will perform the same setlist in the same theater where Presley performed more than 636 sold-out shows during a residency there (the property was known as the International Hotel at the time).
“From the white jumpsuit to the roaring brass section and emotional ballads, this show isn’t just a tribute, it’s a time machine,” said Cami Christensen, president and general manager of Westgate Las Vegas. “It captures the energy, soul and spectacle of Elvis at his absolute peak.”…
