LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Californians have been moving to Nevada for years, but local realtors say they’re breathing life into some older parts of town, particularly historic neighborhoods near downtown Las Vegas.
The Beverly Green neighborhood features sidewalks lined with trees and large historic homes tucked behind downtown and just blocks from the Arts District. Local realtors believe the area is getting a second life.
Naked City sees transformation
The area known as Naked City, located near Sahara Avenue and Industrial Road, had a bad reputation known for high crime. The area got its iconic name in the 1950s, supposedly when showgirls once sunbathed in the nude there.
