Police barricade ends in east Las Vegas after fugitive taken into custody

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A fugitive from another state was taken into custody Friday after a standoff just east of Downtown Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The person was taken into custody without incident after police responded to a barricade situation that began around 8:30 a.m. The fugitive was in the 2000 block of Palm Street, near E. Fremont Street and E. St. Louis Avenue. Police said the fugitive refused to exit a residence.
