LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Firefighters found a person dead in a house fire on the east side of the Las Vegas valley Monday morning.
The fire was first reported shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, in the 6900 block of Stone Meadows Avenue, near South Hollywood Boulevard and East Charleston Boulevard.

Firefighters with the Clark County Fire Department responded to the structure fire at a single-family residence. When they arrived, the structure was “well involved with fire,” the CCFD said.
Crews began an interior attack in order to search the home and extinguish the fire, but were forced to exit because of a roof collapse.
