LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas man faces charges of open murder and residential burglary after police said he went into his grandmother’s home and killed her.
On Dec. 29, at around 8:15 a.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department communications received a call for a welfare check on a family member at a residence in the 2200 block of East Desert Inn Road near Eastern Avenue.

Officers were able to enter the residence and found a woman lying in a bed suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Medical personnel responded and pronounced her dead at the scene…
