LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Harsher driving under-the-influence laws go into effect across Nevada on Thursday, Jan. 1, closing a deadly year on Las Vegas-area roads with the hope that there could be a decrease in impaired driving.
As of Dec. 19, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department has reported 159 fatalities in its jurisdiction.
