Uptick in domestic violence ahead of New Year

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — According to experts, an uptick in domestic violence is not rare this time of year.

“I just want to say to the public, if you are experiencing any domestic violence issues, especially with the holidays around, if you can leave, leave,” Henderson police announced during a press conference on December 14.

Earlier this month, officers shot a man they say drove a vehicle towards them after he allegedly attempted to kidnap a woman. Documents we obtained said it stemmed from a reported case of domestic battery.
