LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Shoppers taking a trip to Las Vegas valley grocery stores to start the new year saw a familiar sight from 2025 — price tags showing higher numbers than years past.
Federal Consumer Price Index data show prices were higher throughout 2025 compared to 2024. Those higher costs are leading to people shopping differently.
“I’ve definitely shopped smaller. I shop more tactically,” Vaughn Jordan said while walking to a grocery store. “You have to rotate more stores just to know what the individual good deals are. It takes more time. It’s a time tax as much as a money tax.”…
