Tragedy struck a Las Vegas neighborhood when local police discovered the body of an elderly woman, the apparent victim of a brutal stabbing. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that on December 29, 2025, they were summoned for a welfare check at a residence on the 2200 block of East Desert Inn Road, where the grim find occurred at around 8:17 a.m.
With detectives piecing the crime scene together, they learned that 41-year-old Franklin Flores forcibly entered his grandmother’s home. Utilizing an unidentified weapon, the authorities allege that he is responsible for her untimely death. Flores was subsequently apprehended near Stephanie Street and American Pacific Drive, with Henderson Police Department lending their assistance in the arrest.
Following his capture, Flores was transported to the Clark County Detention Center. For the alleged act of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon, he now faces charges.
