Las Vegas hit-and-run victim identified as mother of three

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The family of a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash on Las Vegas Boulevard has identified the victim as 43-year-old Lynessa Gyen Perkins, a mother of three.

Police say evidence and surveillance show Perkins walking north in the left travel lane on Las Vegas Boulevard when a 2019 Cadillac SUV struck her, throwing her into the roadway. The driver, 77-year-old Edward Dias, fled the scene, according to Metro police.

Perkins was taken to UMC, where she was pronounced dead.

Family calls for accountability

“She does have a family that cares. She does have a family that loves her, and I don’t know who that man thinks he is,” cousin Erica McCoy said. “Our family has been through so much, and we loved her so much.”…
