Las Vegas prepares for CES; hopes for economic boost

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — With the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) right around the corner, the hospitality industry is already gearing up for the two-day event after last summer’s economic slump.

Hotel prices during CES’s Jan. 6 through Jan. 7 dates range from $300 to $800, depending on the hotel.

Economist and Director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Andrew Woods said a healthy stream of conventions, sporting events and entertainment could stabilize the hospitality industry and small businesses through the spring of 2026…
