LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Ousted Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife have returned to jail following their appearance in federal court in Manhattan, where they pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking and other charges.
A convoy of police vehicles transported the couple back to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after the hearing. During the court proceedings, Maduro asserted his claim to the presidency of Venezuela.
