Las Vegas constable attacked while serving eviction notice through balcony

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Las Vegas constable who was attacked with a machete while serving an eviction notice attempted to enter a man’s home through a balcony with the help of a maintenance worker, according to documents 8 News Now obtained.

On Tuesday, Jan. 6, just after 9 a.m., a deputy Las Vegas constable was serving an eviction notice at an apartment in the 6600 block of South Sandhill Road near East Sunset Road.

The constable was there to evict Victor Vondrasek, 46, according to an arrest report. When the constable arrived, he contacted the apartment complex’s maintenance worker for help to enter the apartment.

The maintenance worker was unable to enter through the front door, so he used a ladder to enter the balcony to try and gain access through a sliding glass door, the report stated…
