LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Courtyard, Las Vegas’s main shelter, is expanding its operations as it approaches a decade of service.
The facility, which began in 2017, now serves 800 people daily and is open 24/7.
Jocelyn Bluitt-Fisher from the city of Las Vegas explained, “Our guests are able to come in and out of our gates however you want to, whenever they want to.” The shelter welcomes individuals in various states, including those dealing with addictions, as Bluitt-Fisher noted, “Leaving them on the street is not a great option either.”…
