LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Security footage, 911 calls, and body-worn camera footage show what unfolded at a Nevada construction site that led to a man trying to run over police officers with a front loader.
Shortly before 9:10 a.m., officers with the Henderson Police Department responded to a reported theft of a front loader construction vehicle, Deputy Chief Matthew Murnane said during a Wednesday news conference.
Before officers arrived, the person who called 911 said they had security video of a male suspect, later identified as Juan Rincon Carreno, 33, jumping a fence into a secure construction site and attempting to “hotwire” a piece of heavy equipment.
“We had somebody hop the fence, and it looks like he’s hot-wiring one of the bulldozers right now,” the caller said…
