Las Vegas has been witness to a stark reminder of roadway dangers with two pedestrians killed in separate incidents involving trucks. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that a pedestrian, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was fatally struck on Friday evening around 4:58 p.m. near Downtown Las Vegas. The location of the accident was pinpointed at West Bonanza Road and Main Street, near North City Parkway, according to 8 News Now. In an all too similar turn of events, a male pedestrian was killed earlier that same day after being hit by a Chevrolet work truck on the northbound Interstate 15 at Spring Mountain Road, as reported by Review Journal.
In Downtown Las Vegas, a woman crossing Bonanza Road outside a crosswalk was hit by a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado. She was dragged under the truck before the driver stopped and reversed.
