LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The man accused of chasing and shooting at a mother and son, causing a deadly Las Vegas crash killing the mother, left his wallet inside the vehicle before leaving the scene, according to a Metro police report.
Nick Stevenson, 53, was taken into custody by Oregon State Police on Nov. 5. He’s facing charges of murder with the use of a deadly weapon, attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon, and several other felony charges, including stealing a vehicle and gun theft.

On Oct. 17, 2025, around 12:11 a.m., LVMPD dispatch received a 911 call from a man and his mother “frantically” reporting that they were being chased by a yellow pickup truck. During the call, the man told the 911 operator that they were being shot at by someone in the truck. A “loud commotion” was heard on the call before it disconnected, the report said.
