LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – North Las Vegas has taken major steps in addressing affordable housing in the valley.
City leaders and developers broke ground on a new community, North & Valley, located on North Pecos Road and East Centennial Parkway, which will bring more than 100 homes to the area.
“We want to build places that our families can afford to live, first of all maintain their spaces, and then be a productive citizen live, work, and play right here in their own community,” said North Las Vegas Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown.
The 105-unit development will be reserved for residents earning between 50 and 60 percent of the area median income. According to the City of North Las Vegas Economic Development Department, the median income is $75,000…
