Las Vegas charity hosts food and toiletry giveaway for homeless community

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Punx4Change, a Las Vegas-based charity, organized a food and toiletry giveaway for people experiencing homelessness on Sunday at the Restoration and Recovery Foundation in North Las Vegas.

Founded by residents Roderick Scott and Freddie V, the charity aims to alleviate hunger and homelessness, even if just for a day. “I struggled with my mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness in my youth and remember how hopeless I felt,” Scott said. “I know a lot of people go through this, so we banded together to lend a hand and let people know they’re not alone.”
