LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex in the southwest valley Thursday morning.
The shooting occurred in the 7600 block of S. Rainbow Boulevard near W. Robindale Road near the entrance of The Cantera by Picerne apartments. Police received the call around 6:20 a.m.

According to police, one man was shot and transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. Another person is being detained in connection with the shooting.
There is no threat to the public, police said. However, they are asking the people to avoid the area as they conduct their investigation.
